Requirements:
- 3D CAD design tool experience mandatory (3Dx and/or CATIA V5 platform preferable)
- Preferable experience with 1D and/or CFD thermal simulation
- Mid to senior engineer (5-10 years of experience)
- Automotive experience mandatory:
- Powertrain thermal management (Oil and water EDU circuit preferable)
- Interaction with suppliers expected:
- Preparing requirements for the off the shelf components
- Collecting inputs from suppliers
- Understanding boundaries and timeline
- Cascading information to project team
Responsibilities:
- Defining lubrication and cooling circuit concepts for high performance electric vehicle powertrain
- Sizing of the components in the cooling circuit (nozzles, pumps, heat exchangers etc…)
- Discussion with suppliers regarding availability and cost of the chosen off the shelf components
- Design of the parts in the 3D CAD software, preparation of production documentation and support in sourcing of the components
- Preparing testing plans to validate the implemented solutions
