Job description:
- Setup of new machines according to a given pattern (using Ansible)
- Integration of the machines into monitoring, backup including documentation
- Upgrade and post-installation of software on machines we manage (using Ansible)
- Active management of all systems we operate
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing problems
- Processing tickets in Jira regarding the systems operated
- Assist in implementing setups for new projects
Must have knowledge:
- Very good experience with Linux as an admin
- Redhat/Centos experience
- Ubuntu and other Linux systems
- Experience with at least one monitoring system (as an implementor and operator of the monitoring)
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt) – Ansible/Ansible Tower preferred
- Scripting, at least 1-2 scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, Python or similar (such as Java, JavaScript)
- Experience in Linux hardening
- Experience with Jira/Confluence or comparable products
- Experience in an enterprise environment
Required conditions:
- Experience with check_mk
- Experience with load balancers
- LDAP knowledge
- Docker and other container solutions
- Windows experience highly desirable
- Criminal record and security clearance required
- Teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn
- Taking initiative and working independently
- Communication skills
- Readiness for action
- In this position, ideally after an appropriate training period, you should take part in on-call duty.
- Austrian or EU citizenship (as this position is in the public sector)
- Advanced German language skills (B2/C1/C2)
